We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst – Cloud, Cybersecurity, IAM & Infrastructure - with strong cloud and cybersecurity exposure and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of business and technology, helping translate complex requirements into practical, secure, and scalable technical solutions. The Role
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering cloud, infrastructure, and security initiatives across the organisation. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are clearly defined, well-documented, and successfully implemented.
Your ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them in clear, business-friendly terms will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Technical Liaison: Elicit, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for cloud, infrastructure, and on-prem solutions.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Enablement: Support cloud initiatives and solution design across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Cybersecurity Project Support: Apply functional knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including DLP, SaaS, CASB, RBAC, IAM, and cloud security controls.
- Documentation & Artefacts: Produce high-quality documentation including requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted conduit between business and technical teams.
- Solution Design Collaboration: Work alongside project managers, architects, developers, and engineers to support solution design and delivery.
- Change Management: Assist with change and adoption activities to ensure smooth rollout of cloud and security solutions.
- Agile Delivery: Contribute to agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and story definition using Jira.
Skills & Experience - Experience: 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst working across cloud, infrastructure, and networking initiatives.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), and infrastructure concepts.
- Testing experience - Strong Testing in Cypress and Selenium, creation of test plans and execution
- Cybersecurity Exposure: Working knowledge of security domains such as IAM, DLP, SaaS security, and cloud governance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Capability: Proven ability to break down complex technical problems and translate them into clear, actionable documentation.
- Agile Experience: Hands-on experience working in agile environments and managing requirements through tools such as Jira.
- Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
Sydney CBD based, Hybrid working. 3 month initial contract, with a possibility to extend.
