Join a growing fintech disrupting the financial services industry. We are looking for a Technical Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of developers and QAs, drive architectural decisions, and shape the future of a scalable technology platform.
 
The Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of a high-performing offshore development team working in the Australian timezone. You will guide Agile sprints, conduct code reviews, and ensure technical excellence across our platform. It is not so much a hands-on position, however deep Technical understanding is required to be succesfull. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Lead with previous management experience to step into a broader leadership role, with a career path toward Head of Engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional offshore team of developers and QAs
• Oversee Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives
• Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold high coding standards
• Make strategic architectural and technical decisions
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality features
• Champion best practices across CI/CD, testing, and DevOps

• Strong background in software development; ideally someone who’s grown from a developer role into leadership
• Deep technical expertise
• Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, etc.) is a plus
• Experience leading distributed or offshore teams, especially across time zones
• Strong Agile delivery experience and a passion for team coaching
