Women's Legal Service Victoria | Join a respected community legal service advancing gender equity, safety and access to justice
Women's Legal Service Victoria (Women's Legal) is a specialist, trauma-informed organisation providing free legal services to women and non-binary people affected by family violence, discrimination and relationship breakdown.
Its vision is for women and non-binary people to live free from violence and discrimination in a gender-equitable society. Through legal services, social work, financial counselling, education, advocacy and law reform, Women's Legal works to improve safety, rights and economic security.
Reporting to the Director, Policy, Advocacy and Communications, the Senior Policy and Advocacy Adviser will play a key role in shaping Women's Legal's Victorian policy and advocacy agenda. Drawing on frontline experience, stakeholder relationships and emerging sector intelligence, you will identify opportunities for reform, influence decision-makers and help drive systemic change for women and non-binary people.
You will monitor legislative developments, prepare submissions and briefings, build advocacy strategies and represent Women's Legal across consultations, working groups and stakeholder forums across the Victorian jurisdiction. Working closely with government and sector stakeholders, you'll help shape reforms that improve outcomes for women and non-binary people.
