Barnardos Australia is a leading non-denominational children's social care and wellbeing not-for-profit organisation providing direct care and support to approximately 15,000 children, young people, adults, families and communities across NSW and ACT through its integrated Child and Family Hubs. With nearly 400 dedicated staff, Barnardos delivers tailored services that protect children from harm, support them to heal, and strengthen connections within their families, culture and communities.

Reporting to the Head of Revenue & Giving, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will lead and grow a well-established funding portfolio that plays a vital role in supporting Barnardos mission and programs. Responsible for securing revenue from trusts, foundations, community clubs and other grant-making bodies, you will develop and strengthen funding relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth.
  
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser to build on the strong momentum of a program that has achieved significant growth in recent years. Combining prospect research, grant writing, stewardship and portfolio management, you'll work closely with program and leadership teams to develop compelling cases for support, secure funding and demonstrate the impact of Barnardos work for children, young people and families.

About YOU​
  
You are a skilled trusts and foundations fundraiser who combines strategic thinking, strong relationship management and compelling storytelling to achieve outstanding funding outcomes.

• Demonstrated success securing grants and growing revenue from trusts, foundations, community clubs or other grant-making bodies
• Experience developing funding strategies, building prospect pipelines and identifying new funding opportunities
• Exceptional grant writing and proposal development skills
• Strong relationship management capability, with experience stewarding and growing donor and funder relationships
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex programs and outcomes into compelling funding cases
• Strong research, prospecting and opportunity assessment skills
• Financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting and pipeline management
• Experience using CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge, Salesforce or similar databases
• Strong project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in trusts and foundations fundraising or philanthropy.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families
