The role
The Prospect Development Manager is a critical leadership role at the centre of World Vision Australia’s Private Funding growth. Responsible for building and leading a best practice prospect development function, this role turns insight into action—identifying high value opportunities, strengthening donor pipelines and equipping fundraisers with the intelligence they need to secure transformational partnerships. Blending strategy with hands on delivery, you will directly influence major and principal giving outcomes and help unlock long term impact for children and communities

About YOU
You will be a driven, analytical and collaborative professional who thrives on delivering high‑quality research, insights and pipeline development to drive revenue growth. You bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in qualitative prospect research within a NFP or university
- Strong skills in prospect identification, diagnostic analysis, and the use of public and commercial research tools
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality research profiles, briefings and reports, including wealth indicators and due diligence
- Knowledge and competence with Microsoft products and CRM software used in fundraising contexts
- Sound commercial acumen and experience in project management
- Strong stakeholder relationship skills and experience working collaboratively in team environments
- Solid understanding of philanthropy, fundraising trends, donor journeys, and opportunities/gaps in the sector
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience, and knowledge of FIA/APRA standards.
