Tucker-Reeves Associates (TRA) is seeking a Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst to support the ApptioOne program. This role will leverage expertise in Apptio's TBM platform to strengthen IT financial management, enhance operational reporting, and drive strategic decision-making for mission-critical initiatives. The Analyst will play a key role in workflow optimization, change management, and organizational capability building, ensuring that our client maximizes the value of its Apptio investment today while laying the foundation for future innovation and growth. This is a one-year contract position and will allow remote work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
APPTIO OPTIMIZATION & REPORTING
· Review and enhance existing Apptio operational materials and configurations to improve functionality and delivery.
· Develop and automate reporting frameworks for IT Financials (Budget vs. Actuals, Variance, etc.), P-card, Encumbrances, Asset Management, and related dashboards.
· Implement best practices in variance analysis and consumption management, reconciling unexpected usage and mitigating budget variances.
· Optimize Apptio's utilization to scrutinize vendor costs, identify duplications, and support decommissioning plans.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT & ENABLEMENT
· Create a change management roadmap that addresses adoption barriers, user enablement, and sustainable knowledge transfer.
· Conduct impact analyses across business units and design enablement strategies that embed TBM practices into day-to-day operations.
STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & TBM PRACTICES
· Identify and document best practices, process improvements, and opportunities for cost savings across financial and operational data.
· Support TBM process definition, re-engineering, and gap analysis for current and future-state processes.
· Provide financial modeling and analysis to support budget planning, variance management, and strategic IT investment decisions.
COLLABORATION & KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
· Partner with executives, managers, fiscal personnel, and technical staff to align Apptio reporting with organizational needs.
· Capture, store, and share knowledge gained from activities to build organizational memory and strengthen future innovation efforts.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, organizational policies, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
· Apptio Certification (e.g., TBM Executive, Apptio Analyst, or equivalent).
· Demonstrated experience with Apptio TBM Suite, including implementation, configuration, and reporting.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across executive, technical, and operational teams.
· Familiarity with IT financial management, budgeting, and cost allocation principles.
· Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS preferred).
