We are working with an established New Zealand manufacturer to recruit a Senior HSQE Advisor who can bring together Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and wider compliance systems in a practical and engaging way.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage ISO systems from behind a desk.  We are looking for someone who enjoys getting out onto the manufacturing floor, understanding what is really happening and working alongside managers and teams to improve standards.

You will provide support and coaching, but equally, you will be comfortable challenging the status quo and holding leaders accountable when required.  With responsibility across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 frameworks, you will help ensure systems are robust, understood and genuinely embedded into everyday operations.

What you will do:

• Lead and continuously improve HSQE and information security management systems.
• Embed ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 into practical day-to-day operations.
• Engage teams on the manufacturing floor, coaching managers and driving accountability.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, RCA and corrective actions.
• Manage audits, training, performance reporting and compliance assurance activities.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience across H&S, quality, environmental or compliance management.
• Practical experience with ISO systems, ideally within manufacturing or operations.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001; ISO 27001 exposure is advantageous.
• A pragmatic communicator who can turn compliance requirements into everyday practice.
• Confidence to engage at all levels, challenge constructively and hold leaders accountable.

This role would particularly suit someone who believes strong compliance is achieved through people and behaviours, not simply policies and paperwork. You will have the technical knowledge to maintain robust systems, but just as importantly, the confidence to get onto the floor, ask questions, coach teams and ensure agreed standards are followed.
