We are proud to be supporting a well-established New Zealand food ingredients business to secure an experienced People & Culture Manager.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a hands-on, generalist HR leadership role within a collaborative, values-driven organisation. You’ll take ownership of the full people function, enabling leaders to focus on operations while you shape culture, capability, and compliance across the business.

Based in Auckland, this permanent part-time role offers genuine scope to increase hours over time as the organisation continues to grow. Occasional monthly travel to Christchurch is required to support head office and wider teams.

What you will do

• Lead the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance and exits
• Provide trusted HR advice across employee relations, legislation, and best practice
• Drive engagement, wellbeing, retention, and leadership development initiatives
• Maintain and improve HR policies, systems, and compliance frameworks
• Partner with leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance

What we are looking for

• Proven generalist HR or People & Culture experience, ideally within a multi site SME or operational setting
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice
• Demonstrated success building culture, engagement, and leadership capability
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, hands-on delivery
• Confident communicator and collaborative team player who supports leaders
