Are you a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering graduate with a passion for customer service and technical problem-solving? We're looking for a Customer Support Chemist in a temporary role with potential to transition into a long term position, with our client involved in the management of hazardous waste industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Use your chemical knowledge to act as the technical liaison between customers and the operations team.
Enter information into the SCO Sales system to accurately track and maintain customer orders.
Follow company guidelines to generate accurate quotes on disposal costs, based on customer requirements.
Handle all customer-related administration, ensuring smooth communication and processes.
Provide expert guidance to customers on the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Perform physical manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving 20L jerry cans, 200L drums, and 1000L IBC containers.
Operate a manual vehicle for work-related tasks as required.
Drive safely and maintain compliance with a valid Class 1 driver’s license.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
Strong computer skills including MS office suite and ideally some exposure to CRM software.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate a manual vehicle.
Must hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license.
