Our client is a well-established New Zealand personal care manufacturer, known for producing high-quality products. They're seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across their busy site.
Working closely with the Production Production Manager, you'll oversee multiple production rooms — ensuring safe, efficient, GMP-compliant manufacture while lifting team capability and driving continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
Lead daily production across blending and automated bottling lines.
Deliver production schedules and manage labour allocation, shift boards, and workflow.
Mentor and support operators, fostering a positive and accountable team culture.
Uphold site safety through hazard reporting, PPE compliance, and routine checks.
Oversee equipment readiness: set-up, sanitisation, troubleshooting, and escalation.
Support planning, root-cause investigations, and continuous improvement to optimise throughput and reduce waste.
What we're looking for:
2-5+ years in manufacturing/production (Personal care, FMCG, food, supplements ideal).
Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and batch documentation.
Proven leadership/supervisory experience in fast-paced operations.
A calm, confident communicator and effective coach.
Highly organised, proactive, and strong at problem-solving.
ERP/MRP literacy and comfort with digital documentation.
A fair, consistent, safety-focused leader who leads by example.
What's in it for you:
A stable full-time leadership role with a respected NZ manufacturer.
Influence over production planning, workflow optimisation, and CI initiatives.
A supportive manager who encourages development and empowers leaders.
Variety across multiple production rooms — no two days the same.
A workplace culture grounded in safety, quality, and professional growth.
