We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, safety, and performance of our client's manufacturing plant. In this hands-on role, you will carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and improvements across a wide range of production equipment, while identifying opportunities to enhance plant efficiency and product quality.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for routine servicing, troubleshooting, and reactive repairs. You will also be contributing to operational planning and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing, preventative, and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot production line issues and implement quick solutions to reduce downtime
- Assist with line setup, adjustments, and changeovers
- Maintain service logs, maintenance records, and reports for audits and compliance
- Manage and organize spare parts and workshop tools efficiently
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and product quality
What We are Looking For: - Fully qualified Fitter Turner, Mechanical Fitter, or Certified Engineer (apprenticeship completed)
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or FMCG, ideally in GMP or regulated environments
- Skilled in preventative and breakdown maintenance of production plant and facility equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to Health & Safety compliance and safe work practices
