We’re seeking a talented and forward-thinking Laboratory Technologist to drive technical excellence and provide insight across analytical testing and validation activities, in a technical, non-routine laboratory environment.
  
What you will do:

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving improvement and innovation across analytical testing and validation processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical testing advice to the lab and wider business (QA, manufacturing, sales and marketing, etc.)
• Lead method development, validation, and optimisation work for new and existing testing methods and equipment
• Apply your expertise in HPLC, ELISA or NIR to optimise performance and solve technical challenges
• Review and improve laboratory documentation, validation reports and SOPs
• Analyse testing and QC data to identify areas for process and instrument improvement
• Provide strategic direction on laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance and replacement planning
• Share knowledge and mentor staff to lift technical capability across the laboratory

  
What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a chemist who thinks outside the box – someone who enjoys solving complex problems and driving technical excellence. You will have:

• Experience in method validation, development and optimisation
• Sound knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and instrumentation (knowledge of HPLC, ELISA or NIR are desirable but not all essential)
• Understanding of ISO 17025 and IANZ accreditation requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and documentation skills
• A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and leading technical projects
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related science (postgraduate study advantageous)
