At Scitex we're proud to partner with our client to find a highly organised Laboratory Training and H&S Coordinator. This is a key leadership role in a fast-paced, commercial laboratory, ideal for someone with supervisory experience in an accredited lab who is ready to be trained into a Key Technical Personnel (KTP) position to release results.

You will lead lab staff, manage training, oversee health & safety, and maintain high standards across all lab operations. This role requires someone who thrives on organisation, has strong leadership skills, and can balance people leadership with operational and compliance responsibilities.

What you will do:

• Lead, coach, and motivate lab staff including seasonal technicians and supervisors
• Develop and maintain training plans, resources, and documented procedures
• Manage rostering and daily allocations to ensure coverage and meet testing requirements
• Monitor lab floor operations to maintain sample throughput, efficiency, and quality
• Conduct audits, maintain ISO 17025 compliance, and review results prior to release when required
• Lead health & safety initiatives, reporting, and KPI tracking

What we are looking for:

• Supervisory experience in a commercial or accredited laboratory
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards and lab documentation requirements
• Highly organised with ability to manage a fast-paced and seasonal workforce
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and coaching skills for training staff
• Tech-savvy with intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with lab systems
