We’re partnering with a leading laboratory in Te Puke to find a highly organised Collections Planning Coordinator to support and lead key logistics and coordination activities. If you like kiwifruit, you will love this role!
As the Collections Planning Coordinator, you’ll be right at the heart of seasonal operations — ensuring people, samples, and equipment are where they need to be, when they need to be there. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, detail-focused environment and enjoys juggling multiple priorities while keeping systems running smoothly.
What you will do:
- Coordinate and schedule sampling rounds, logistics, and staff rosters across multiple regions
- Maintain asset registers, including vehicles, phones, consumables, and PPE
- Support onboarding and training for seasonal staff, ensuring readiness ahead of each season
- Act as the key point of contact for customer and internal queries
- Oversee field safety, compliance, and quality processes, helping ensure traceability and accuracy of sampling activities
What we are looking for: - Strong organisational and administrative skills, with great attention to detail
- Confident juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Tech savvy, with solid Excel and systems knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with teams across lab, field, and management
- Experience in logistics, scheduling, or coordination within a scientific, agricultural, or technical setting would be an advantage
What’s in it for you: - Join a respected organisation that plays a crucial role in NZ’s horticultural industry
- Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values continuous improvement
- Permanent, full-time position based in Te Puke, with variety across seasons
- Work in an environment where safety, integrity, and teamwork are truly valued
If you’re someone who enjoys structure and precision, yet loves the energy of a busy operational environment, this role offers a rewarding balance of both.
