We’re seeking a proactive Service Technician to join a national engineering team supporting the maintenance and performance of mission-critical production and laboratory equipment in Queensland.

Due to rapid business expansion, we have a Service Technician Engineer role available in Woolloongabba.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping high-tech infrastructure operating reliably—ensuring equipment such as cyclotrons, synthesisers, hot cells and QC instruments perform at their best. 

You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative technical team, ensuring uptime and compliance across their operational site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high-precision technical systems
• Troubleshoot faults and provide hands-on technical support to production and QC teams
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a digital CMMS
• Participate in a national on-call roster, responding to after-hours equipment issues
• Support engineering initiatives and promote continuous improvement
• Travel between facilities as required 

Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates who ideally possess the following, but we are open minded - the right attitude and strong curiosity are really critical:

• Trade qualification or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering would be nice
• Experience maintaining industrial, laboratory or medical instrumentation
• Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding ability
• An understanding of WHS and technical safety protocols would be great
• Self-starter with excellent organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Full driver’s license, car and passport
