This is a lean, senior team with strong product backing, high trust, and zero fluff. And now, they're looking for a seasoned SRE to take ownership of their platform maturity and monitoring strategy.
 
What you'll be working on
 
This role sits within the product engineering team (not separate infra), working closely with developers, the Principal Engineer, and the Director of Engineering. It's a cross-functional, high-impact position focused on scale, visibility, and risk.
 
You'll:

• Take ownership of observability across the platform - metrics, logging, alerting, and incident response
• Improve security posture across certificate management, secrets handling, vulnerability management, and platform resilience
• Maintain and improve the CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, CDK)
• Support a dual-cloud setup (mainly AWS, some Azure) with a pragmatic view on tooling and best practice
• Bring clarity to noisy systems - redesigning what "good" looks like and helping the team get there
• Partner closely with the dev team to embed reliability and performance into everything they build

You won't be firefighting legacy systems. You'll be designing the systems that prevent fires.
 
The skills you'll need

• Solid SRE/DevOps experience in modern cloud environments (AWS is a must, Azure a nice bonus)
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CDK), containerisation (Docker, K8s), CI/CD pipelines
• Strong observability mindset - Datadog, OpsGenie or similar
• Experience in security-first environments (CDR, OpenID, PCI-DSS, ISO etc.)
• The ability to triage and prioritise - and to tell the difference between a signal and noise
• You've worked in scale-ups or regulated SaaS environments and understand the tradeoffs
• You're pragmatic, not precious. Strategic, but hands-on. Calm in a storm. Collaborative by default.
