The work you'll be doing
 
This isn't your typical CRUD app job.
 
You'll be working across a multi-tenant architecture with hefty security, performance, and compliance demands. Most of your work will live in the backend - but you'll need to think well beyond the code.
 
You'll:

• Design and deliver backend services using Java/Kotlin + Spring Boot
• Solve complex integration problems across financial and energy APIs
• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to turn real-world regulatory needs into elegant software solutions
• Apply secure-by-design and privacy-first engineering practices
• Help shape the architecture and scalability of Biza's core platform as it continues to grow
• Share ideas, pair up, and help other engineers level up - you'll be surrounded by smart people who want to do great work

You might be a fit if...

• You're fluent in Java or Kotlin and comfortable in a Spring Boot environment
• You've built and scaled secure, high-availability backend systems before
• You've worked in a regulated space (banking, fintech, energy, healthcare)
• You're experienced with cloud-based architecture - bonus points for AWS and some Azure
• You understand that compliance isn't just red tape - it's a design constraint and a business advantage
• You're curious, collaborative, and confident thinking for yourself
• You don't wait to be told what to do - you lean in, ask questions, and start untangling problems
