We're partnering once again with the brilliant team at Nexvia to find a mid-level PHP Developer to help power the next chapter of growth.
 
And it's an exciting one.
 
Nexvia has just been acquired by Felix (ASX: FLX) - giving this already impressive Brisbane scale-up a major springboard for expansion. They're combining Felix's procurement marketplace with Nexvia's project delivery ERP to create one of the most complete construction platforms on the market.
 
Which means there's a lot to build.
 
The platform is huge (think: full-blown Procore alternative), the team is lean, and the roadmap is packed. So if you're ready to make an outsized impact in a tight-knit engineering team - this one's for you.
 
What you'll be doing:
 
You'll be working on Nexvia's core construction management platform: a big, complex, battle-tested system with a massive amount of depth under the hood.
 
It's not greenfield, but there's plenty of scope for new feature development, incremental upgrades, and the kind of meaty backend problem-solving that keeps you sharp.
 
You'll work across:

• Backend development in PHP (Symfony 1.0)
• Database design and optimisation (MySQL)
• Feature scoping, implementation and integration
• Bug fixing, maintenance and iterative improvement

You won't be stuck on tickets with no context. You'll be looped into the bigger picture, learning the system from the inside out and trusted to think critically and contribute.
 
What we're looking for:
 
This is a mid-level role, but we're open to a range of experience as long as you've got a solid PHP foundation, a collaborative attitude, and the curiosity to get across a big, complex domain.
 
Here's what matters most:

• Strong experience in PHP (framework experience essential - Symfony ideal but not required)
• Exposure to relational databases (MySQL or similar)
• Experience working on backend-heavy, data-driven applications
• Great communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
• Bonus points for construction industry knowledge (not essential)
