Job Description:
This position will lead approximately 20-40 union team members in a fast-paced quality manufacturing environment. The main function of the role is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers while supporting safety, throughput, quality, timekeeping, people leadership, and overall production effectiveness. This role is hands-on regarding people leadership responsibility.
 
The supervisor will be responsible for understanding vehicle quality standards, evaluating whether vehicles and products meet those standards, identifying production or quality issues, and determining appropriate corrective actions. The role requires someone who can take initiative, work independently, communicate effectively, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including situations where all information may not be immediately available.
 
The supervisor will also work closely with the salaried counterpart supporting the opposite shift to ensure effective communication, coordination, and continuity between shifts.
 
Role:

• The Production Supervisor will spend the day overseeing a team of approximately 20-40 union employees in a quality manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include:
• Leading and supporting hourly/union team members
• Monitoring vehicle/product quality
• Determining whether products meet established quality standards
• Identifying vehicle issues and determining what needs to be corrected
• Making timely decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Supporting safety, throughput, quality, and timekeeping
• Communicating issues and corrective needs to team members and other functional areas
• Coordinating with the salaried counterpart responsible for the opposite shift

 
Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred but not required.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing field required.
