Job Description:

• We are seeking a Technical Specialist to support the Failure Analysis team with activities related to customer field returns.
• This position is responsible for conducting basic defect investigations on low to moderately complex issues and assisting Failure Analysis Engineers with related tasks.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform defect investigations under moderate supervision.
• Assist senior engineers in designing experiments to:
• Confirm defect root causes.
• Replicate failure modes.
• Validate corrective actions.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions for testing and analysis.
• Document findings and maintain accurate records of test results.
• Operate standard lab equipment including multimeters, microscopes, and X-ray machines (if applicable).

 
Required Skills & Experience
REQUIRED

• Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Windows-based databases.

 
Preferred Qualifications
 
Experience with:

• Soldering QFN,QFP,BGA components
• PCB troubleshooting.
• Reading and interpreting schematics.
• NTF (No Trouble Found) testing.
• Use of hand tools and multimeters.
• Microscopes and X-ray inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of IPC standards:
• IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• IPC-7711/21 (Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies)
