Job Description:

• Shape the future of online vehicle service reservations through solutions developed using Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other technologies required to deliver business value.
• Innovate directly and continuously with Product Managers, Product Owners, Product Designers and Software Engineers to develop and release working, tested, supportable, world-class software on our Guest Experiences platform.
• Work with an end-to-end, full-stack mindset to solve business problems with IT solutions
• Collaborate with engineers from across the full stack and get exposure to ReactJS, Pega, and other technologies
• Utilize Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
• Share support responsibilities for launched components.
• Offer innovative ideas to improve software delivery processes

 
Skills Required:

• Problem solving, engineering mindset
• Willingness to learn and apply clean coding practices and other principles of software craft
• Love for technology and building great software
• Knowledge of both object oriented and functional programming design principles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to pair program, as needed
• Self-motivated

 
Experience Required:

• 6+ years of experience in back-end development with Java/Spring Boot in a professional setting
• Experience with agile software development frameworks and methodologies, such as Clean Code, Small Releases, Continuous Integration, TDD, and BDD.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Tekton.
• Experience with TDD and BDD frameworks such as jUnit, Jest, Cucumber.

 
Experience Preferred:

• 1+ years of experience in ReactJS, VueJS, or AngularJS front end libraries in a professional or personal setting.

 
Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
