With the expansion of IMG into the Heavy Diesel, Hydraulic Engineering and Maintenance field, where we provide quality mechanical engineering and maintenance; hydraulic cylinder repairs; heavy engineering; and support of mobile and fixed plants. We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in East Tamaki where you will be responsible for the service and repair of a wide range of heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, transport and construction related industries. On a day to day basis, key responsibilities will include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on a variety of heavy machinery and fixed plant
- Basic Welding and fabrication
- Hydraulic system and cylinder repairs
- Some opportunity to work offsite
An element of flexibility is required in a heavy industry organisation which undertakes significant work after hours and during weekends. A bit about you….
We are looking for someone who is trade qualified or a time served Diesel Mechanic with at least four years previous experience. Heavy equipment experience is a must, along with having excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills. Ideally you will be familiar with computerised control systems for heavy equipment and have a positive attitude and works well in a team.
You will display quality experience with a strong commitment to exceeding the needs of the customer, along with a commitment to safety, quality and the environment.
