Welder - Kawerau, Tokoroa
IMG is a privately owned, New Zealand heavy engineering company with over 20 years’ experience in our sector. We employ over 300 permanent staff, complemented by a significant pool of contractors and casuals. Historically, we have resourced projects ranging between 10 and 600 people covering a full range of skills. We deliver maintenance, capital project delivery, fabrication, specialist services and a range of innovative solutions to a wide variety of clients throughout the North Island.

Due to an increase in project and maintenance work we are looking for qualified Fabricator/Welders to work on casual basis.
You must be prepared to work either on projects in and around Tokoroa,Kawerau (Bay of plenty) region, and in our busy Workshop where we undertake a varied range of manufacturing, fabrication and maintenance work in heavy carbon steel, stainless steel and specialised high temperature stainless steel alloys.
We’re keen to hear from experienced, ticketed fabricator/welders. Multi coded pipe welding, and ASME IX would be an advantage.
- Highly qualified ticketed welder, experienced in both structural work and pipe work
- Experience with heavy machinery industry is highly regarded.
- Multi coded pipe welding and ASME IX advantage
- Quality focus and experience working with I&T plans and protocols
- Have strong mechanical skills
- Have a civil background or relevant industry experience
- Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
