English Lecturer

£36,200–£43,200 per annum, pro rata for part-time

Think FE is recruiting English Lecturers for a further education college in Northamptonshire. With full-time and part-time opportunities available, this is a chance to help young people build their confidence and achieve their GCSE English qualifications.

You’ll teach GCSE English resits, adapting your lessons to learners with different abilities and previous experiences of education. There is also an opportunity to work within foundation learning.

What we’re looking for

• Experience teaching GCSE English ideally resits to learners aged 16–19 in further education.
• Applications from secondary English teachers are also welcome, particularly those with experience supporting lower sets.
• The ability to engage learners, rebuild confidence and support progress.
• A teaching qualification such as a PGCE or DTLLS is highly desirable.
• Experience in alternative provision or foundation learning would be an advantage.
