A specialist education provider in Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated Motor Vehicle Tutor to support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional who is passionate about making a difference and helping learners develop practical skills, confidence and pathways into employment.

The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Tutor, you will:
• Deliver engaging theory and practical Motor Vehicle sessions to SEND learners.
• Teach across workshop and classroom environments, with two days each week spent in the workshop.
• Deliver one-hour sessions with appropriate breaks to meet individual learner needs.
• Support learners to develop vocational, personal and employability skills.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet a range of additional learning needs.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to support achievement.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams to ensure positive learner outcomes.
• Deliver lessons using existing schemes of work and curriculum plans prepared by the Curriculum Manager.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
• A recognised Teaching Qualification.
• A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle or a related automotive discipline.
• Experience delivering vocational training or education within Motor Vehicle subjects.
• Strong experience working with SEND learners.
• The ability to manage behaviour positively and build effective learner relationships.
• Experience working within alternative provision, pupil referral units (PRUs), custodial education or similar challenging educational settings would be highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• A genuine commitment to supporting learners with additional needs.
