GCSE / Functional Skills Maths Teachers
Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Full-time and Part-time (Temporary until 13th February, with potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £25–£28 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay (PAYE, weekly)
We’re currently supporting a dynamic and inclusive further education college in Northampton to recruit three Maths Teachers to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to a range of learners.
These roles are ideal for experienced further education professionals and qualified teachers seeking an impactful, short-term opportunity with potential for extension.
Available Positions:
- 1 x Full-Time Maths Teacher (Construction Learners)
- 1 x Full-Time Maths Teacher (Safeguarding & Supported Learning Learners)
- 1 x Part-Time Maths Teacher (0.6 FTE) – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Your Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills Maths lessons
- Adapt content to suit vocational and supported learning cohorts
- Plan and deliver lessons that promote progress and achievement
- Track and assess student progress using digital platforms
Ideal Candidate: - Qualified Maths teacher with a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths resits in a Further Education setting
We will also consider: - Qualified teacher with GCSE Maths experience in a secondary setting
- Keen to transition into Further Education
All applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
