We are proud of our partnership with Wirral Metropolitan College. We have worked with them for many years and they are a warm and friendly team who support people starting their journey in education.

Most of our temporary staff end up as permanent staff members at the college and many go into teaching at the college.

No classroom experience is necessary – we're looking for individuals with the right attitude, calmness, patience, and a supportive nature to help students thrive in their learning environment.

We can offer roles between 2 and 5 days per week in Birkenhead. Often you will start on 3-4 days per week and increase that when you have shown reliability.

Role Details:

• Support students 1-to-1 in class with their schoolwork under a teacher’s supervision
• Assist learners in understanding instructions through various methods, boosting their self-confidence and independence
• Recognise signs of distress, provide reassurance, and implement care programmes as required
• Help learners communicate effectively, offering guidance and support where needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Caring and understanding nature
• Due to the nature of the role, reliability and ability to think on your feet is essential
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
• The desire to support students with diverse needs
