Temporary Maths Teacher (Contingent)
Location: An Ofsted‑rated Good college in Gloucestershire (campuses in Gloucester and Cheltenham)
Rate: £22 per hour (PAYE, weekly)
Duration: Approximately 3 months, covering both Gloucester and Cheltenham sites (driving between locations required)
Role Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher to deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills (FS) maths lessons to learners aged 16–18 and adults. The ideal candidate holds a PGCE in maths, current QTS, and preferably a Level 3 qualification with minimum Level 3 maths proficiency. You will be expected to support learners preparing for GCSE and FS maths, tailoring your approach to a diverse cohort, and maintaining high standards across both campuses.

Candidate Requirements - Essential: PGCE in Maths, QTS, Level 3 maths
- Desirable: Experience teaching GCSE maths and working with learners aged 16–18 and adults
- Demonstrated ability to motivate learners, differentiate instruction, and maintain high expectations
- Flexible and reliable, able to travel between campuses as needed
