Lecturer – Instrumentation & Control Systems
Location: An Ofsted-rated Outstanding further education college in North Yorkshire
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)
Annual Leave: 45 days + bank holidays
Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme (28.68%)
Salary: £29,000–£43,100 per annum depending on experience
  
What will you do?

• Teach both practical and theory sessions in Instrumentation & Control systems, bringing real-world skills into the classroom.
• Guide students in achieving their academic and personal goals—your support can make a real difference.
• Design lesson plans that connect core engineering concepts with hands-on, industry-relevant applications.
• Work alongside friendly colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment that meets diverse needs.
• Play an active role in recruitment, retention, and student success—offering tailored advice to help learners progress.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum Level 5 qualification (HNC or above) in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Recent and relevant industry experience in the instrumentation/control sector.
• Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Strong communication, lesson planning, and classroom management skills.
• Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check, including the Child Barred List.
