Job Title: Sessional Internal Quality Assurance Lead – Professional Construction (Permanent, Contingent Role)

Location:
An Ofsted-rated further education college in Derbyshire (East Midlands), based at a vocational campus (e.g. Roundhouse Campus, Derby)

Role Type:
Permanent, with sessional hours. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced quality assurance professionals seeking focused work—1 day per week, with hybrid flexibility.

Role Overview
You will lead the Internal Quality Assurance function within the Professional Construction provision. This includes:

• Managing IQA duties for all Level 3 and Level 4 construction qualifications and apprenticeships
• Leading standardisation and IQA meetings to ensure consistency and quality in assessment practices
• Liaising with awarding organisations and managing external quality assurance processes
• Ensuring that all quality assurance procedures align with both the college policy and awarding body requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., HND/FdSc in a construction-related specialism, or equivalent NVQ)
• A recognised Internal Quality Assurance credential (e.g., Level 4 IQA Award, V1/D34)
• Level 2 Maths and English
• Strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate quality assurance schedules and meetings effectively
