Learning Support Assistant
Position: Learning Support Assistant (Temporary until end of September)
Location: A further education college in Middlesbrough
Pay: £12.21 per hour, plus holiday pay

Who are we looking for?
A compassionate and dedicated agency Learning Support Assistant: You’ll work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to provide both in-class and one-to-one support, helping personalise learning plans and foster an inclusive, accessible environment for learners with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored in-class and one-to-one support to learners with additional learning needs
• Contribute to the development and implementation of personalised learning and education plans (e.g., PEPs, IEPs).
• Adapt learning materials and strategies to support cognitive, physical, emotional, and sensory challenges.
• Promote inclusion, engagement, and well-being across all learning environments.

  
What will you need?

• GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4/C or above in both English and Maths.
• Demonstrable experience supporting students across a diverse range of learning difficulties and disabilities—especially within a Further Education setting. This may include (but is not limited to):
• Moderate learning difficulties
• Autism spectrum conditions
• Mental health needs
• Sensory impairments
• Physical disabilities
• Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in supporting students with learning difficulties or in care. Not essential, but advantageous.
