Employer engagement officer 

Salary: £27,300–£30,000 per annum
Location: Northamptonshire
Work Type: Permanent, full-time or part-time
Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
Pension: Local government scheme (20 % employer contribution)

Role Overview
A meaningful role dedicated to matching learners with rewarding work placements. You’ll ensure their safety on-site and manage enquiries from employers, students, and parents. Crucially, you’ll take the lead in cultivating fresh placements—cold calling local businesses to expand opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Generate new placement opportunities via outreach to local companies
• Liaise with employers to arrange and monitor placements
• Manage health & safety assessments and compliance for placements
• Support staff and students with placement-related queries
• Assist students in identifying suitable roles, offering careers guidance
• Involve parents in placement processes as appropriate

Essential Requirements

• GCSE Maths and English
• Full UK clean driving licence
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Customer-facing experience—confident in handling varied queries
• Enthusiasm for creating employment pathways for young learners

Desirable:

• Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance (or willingness to work toward it)
