 Supported Learning Lecturer
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £27 per hour (PAYE) + 12.07% holiday pay

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Supported Learning Lecturer to lead a dynamic Life Skills and Employability programme at a well-established further education college in Cambridgeshire. This role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students with severe, moderate, and specific learning needs, including SLD, ASD, and SEMH. Teaching will primarily occur in small group settings, ensuring personalised attention and support.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver engaging lessons in life skills and employability to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans aligned with EHCP targets.
• Utilise creative teaching methods to inspire and motivate learners.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the supported learning curriculum.

Who are we looking for?

Essential:

• Recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 5, e.g., DET, DTLLS, PGCE).
• Proven experience teaching students with SEN, particularly SLD, ASD, and SEMH.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and the ability to tailor learning accordingly.
• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.

Desirable:

• Background in creative industries such as drama, media, or English.
• Proficiency in using Apple Mac systems and software like Photoshop and Logic Pro.
• Qualifications in Makaton or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support.
