Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Apprenticeship Assessor (1-Year Maternity Cover)
Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
Contract: 1-Year Maternity Cover
Location: Remote with travel across Berkshire
Benefits: 30 days annual leave + Bank Holidays | Teachers’ Pension (28.68% employer contribution)

About the Role
  
Are you an experienced professional in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf looking to support the next generation of apprentices in the industry? We are seeking a dedicated Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Apprenticeship Assessor to oversee a caseload of apprentices, providing expert guidance and support throughout their learning journey.
This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to a well-regarded land-based college in Berkshire. You will play a vital role in ensuring apprentices receive high-quality education and training, developing their skills and industry knowledge to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  

• Support and assess apprentices enrolled in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Apprenticeship Programmes.
• Provide tailored guidance to help apprentices progress effectively.
• Conduct remote assessments, ensuring compliance with qualification requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with both apprentices and employers to facilitate a smooth learning experience.
• Complete and maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body standards.
• Occasionally travel to the college for key meetings and training.

What We’re Looking For
  

• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
• At least 5 years in Greenkeeping, Sportsturf, or a related sector.
• Level 2/Level 3 Greenkeeping/Sportsturf
• Relevant Degree and/or vocational qualification (please state this in your application).
• Strong communication skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
• Experience in assessing apprenticeships or training delivery
