The Opportunity
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that improve health outcomes for Australians? As an Analytics Engineer, you will:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for dbt projects
- Write efficient SQL and optimise data models for performance and cost
- Design and enhance complex BI data models, including semantic layers and back-end structures within BI platforms
- Work hands-on in the back end of BI tools (such as Qlik), optimising data flows, metadata, and model performance
- Implement role-based access control and conduct periodic access reviews
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver insights and resolve data issues in Qlik
About You - Expert in SQL and Python for analytics engineering and data quality automation
- Practical experience BI data modelling experience—capable of building complex data models within BI tools and understanding their underlying back-end architecture
- Practical experience working directly with BI platform internals, such as semantic layers, metadata management, and performance optimisation
- Experience with production ELT/ETL workflows and cloud data platforms
- Hands-on with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of data management, governance, and CI/CD practices
