About the Role
We’re seeking two dynamic and results-driven Project Manager’s to lead the delivery of Midland Brick’s strategic and operational projects that are critical to our business success. In this role, you’ll take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives across a broad spectrum—including production improvements, capital works, safety upgrades, compliance, site development, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving outcomes that align with our priorities—on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Your role will include:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery—planning, executing, and closing projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Define project scopes and timelines, and track progress using tools such as Gantt charts and milestone schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, operations, maintenance, HSE, procurement, and finance.
- Coordinate meetings and workshops to align stakeholders, troubleshoot issues, and keep momentum.
- Manage schedules and adapt plans to accommodate operational changes, delays, or risks.
- Engage and oversee external contractors and vendors, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Monitor project budgets, track actuals vs forecasts, and manage cost variations with transparency.
- Identify risks early, maintain a risk register, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Keep documentation up to date—scopes, change logs, safety records, and reporting.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on performance, risks, and decision points.
- Oversee project handover including operational documentation, training, and post-project reviews.
- Ensure all defects, warranties, and maintenance responsibilities are clearly defined and transitioned.
Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in managing projects in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously within defined scopes
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- Experience working within safety-critical, regulated environments
