About the Role
BGC Housing Group is seeking experienced Supervisors to join our Maintenance Team. This position offers significant job security, with a minimum 10 year-expected job book ahead of us.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the remediation of damage caused by defective polybutylene piping and project managing the repair works. This includes supervising warranty-related remediation work within a designated area and ensuring all activities are completed to a high standard of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in supervision, building maintenance, or construction, and a strong drive to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will take ownership of the investigation, coordination, and completion of remediation works—driving service excellence, quality assurance, and the efficient use of personnel and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Lead remediation projects, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Investigate and respond to burst pipe incidents within warranty periods.
- Communicate clearly with clients, keeping them informed every step of the way.
- Support Service Supervisors with accurate incident reporting and documentation.
- Oversee subcontractor work, ensuring high-quality results within deadlines.
- Provide coverage for fellow Service Supervisors when needed.
Quality Control & Compliance - Ensure all remedial work meets industry standards and minimizes repeat issues.
- Drive improvements in workmanship and foster a reliable trade network.
- Conduct thorough inspections and provide actionable feedback.
- Develop efficient work plans and oversee documentation of subcontractor workloads.
Client Service & Communication - Be a trusted point of contact for clients, guiding them through warranty processes.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication through written and verbal updates.
- Keep well-organized job files with clear, informative documentation.
What You’ll Bring - Proven experience in a supervisory role within construction, maintenance, or related field.
- Knowledge of residential building processes and warranty requirements.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to support teams, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including trades, suppliers, and clients.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer systems and job management software.
- Knowledge of plumbing practices is an advantage, but not essential.
