About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive Logistics Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate fleet maintenance, manage schedules, and oversee repairs. You’ll track maintenance activities, conduct asset inspections, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective service. Compliance with health and safety regulations, including Main Roads WA requirements, is essential.
Your role will include:
- Oversee and schedule maintenance activities, working closely with Fleet Control, drivers, and suppliers. Manage prestart documentation and ensure efficient planning.
- Conduct regular quality inspections, document repairs, and guarantee timely turnaround of assets to maintain peak operational efficiency.
- Foster strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, negotiate service terms, and uphold cost-effective, high-quality maintenance solutions.
- Develop and refine maintenance procedures, track activities using software, and manage key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including compliance with Main Roads WA requirements, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
Skills and Experience: - Qualified mechanic, Fleet maintenance experience and a mechanical background preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance planning or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Trucks, Trailers, and Telehandlers.
- Ability to develop detailed maintenance plans, prioritise tasks, propose contingencies, and manage time effectively.
- Proven ability to liaise with key stakeholders, drivers, and fleet coordination teams to ensure fleet availability is maximised..
- Experience with maintenance management software; intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Skilled in negotiations and managing vendor relationships.
- Ensuring accuracy in scheduling and maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Sound fleet scheduling experience to optimise operations.
