About the Role
Due to continual business demands our Midland Brick Joondalup Retail Branch is seeking a Casual Retail Sales Advisor/Forklift Operator to join its busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Customer service on our bricks and masonry products both in person and over the phone
- Liaise with customers on product and delivery requirements;
- Consult with customers to help them make purchasing decisions including up to date product information
- Process sales and conduct payment transactions
- Making and receiving phone enquiries to discuss products and customer enquiries in a timely manner
- Forklift cover where needed
- Providing assistance to the team with loading customers vehicle and unloading products from the main yard.
- This role does require some manual handling.
Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you must have:
- Previous experience in a sales and customer liaison role (similar industry would be highly regarded);
- Good attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a busy team environment to meet customer needs;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team;
- Available to work Saturdays;
- Ability to travel to other retail branches to support and cover staff or training needs;
- Current FEL and LF forklift ticket required;
- Strong OHS principals
- A current driver’s licence
