The role;
This role will be key to MTC's growth plans. Reporting directly to our Technical and Quality Manager, your main focus will involve a combination of technical work and senior testing responsibilities within the lab.
On the technical side, you’ll take ownership of creating, monitoring, and reviewing all specifications, mix designs, and packages, to ensure they meet client and customer requirements. You’ll also provide advice on design changes and compliance while ensuring asphalt quality control testing meets requirements, making experience with asphalt mix designs crucial.
In our brand-new lab, you’ll take on senior testing duties related to mix designs, positioning this as a hands-on role offering a great opportunity for those with materials testing experience who are looking to move into leadership or technical position.
By joining our small asphalt team, you’ll have diversity in your tasks, access to leadership programs, and work alongside a larger laboratory team that tests a range of cementitious products, all with a focus on advancing your career.

Requires;
- Strong technical knowledge about WA Asphalt industry, new trends, materials, technical specifications.
- Experience in laboratory asphalt material testing and mix designs (Must have).
- Advanced Diploma in relevant field of Materials Testing or Engineering.
- White Card
- Forklift ticket (desirable)
About Us BGC’s Materials Technology Centre is a centralized NATA accredited technology hub using the latest LIMS software, specialized purpose-built testing equipment and facilities to provide accurate and timely test results. This role will work directly support BGC Asphalt, who manufacture and dispatch asphalt for commercial and residential applications.
