Electrical Maintenance Engineer 
West End, London
£45,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a high-profile commercial site in the West End of London. Renowned for their strong reputation in the industry, this company offers excellent career development, internal progression, and the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. This is a static, Monday to Friday position with working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. 

As part of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of electrical and mechanical systems. The role also involves updating site documentation and logbooks, liaising with subcontractors, and reporting directly to the site manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
• Electrical fault finding and repairs
• Working on single and three-phase power systems
• Maintenance and testing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
• Operating Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Servicing AHUs, FCUs, and generators
• Working with VAVs/VRFs, pumps, motors, and cooling towers
• Conducting water treatment duties (e.g., tap temperature checks, dosing, cooling tower checks)
• Managing site folders, electronic logbooks, audits, quotations, and contractor supervision

Requirements:

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Installations
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance
• 18th edition (required)
• Strong understanding of building services and maintenance compliance
• Apprentice trained (desirable)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
