We are working with a leading building services provider to recruit a Fabric Engineer for a high-end residential development near Victoria, London. This is a great opportunity to join a professional and well-structured 12-person engineering team, responsible for maintaining the communal areas of some of the most prestigious homes in the city.

This is a Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) role, focused on delivering high standards of reactive maintenance and fabric repair across the estate. While residents are high profile, the role will be focused on the common ways, not within individual apartments.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive fabric maintenance across communal areas including corridors, entrance ways, stairwells, and shared facilities
• Typical tasks include:
  • Repairing and adjusting door closures and locks
  • Fixing architrave and ceiling hatches
  • Painting and decorating
  • Maintaining fire doors and fitting fire safety signage
  • General fabric related tasks
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining the premium look and feel of the building
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to ensure smooth site operations
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer, Handyperson, or Maintenance Technician
• Confident with a range of building fabric repairs: carpentry, painting, decorating, and minor general repairs
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills – essential due to the high-end environment
• Ability to work independently and manage reactive tasks efficiently
• Awareness of fire safety practices is an advantage

Package:

• £37,000 - £39,000 annual salary
• Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
