Maintenance Supervisor

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations across a portfolio of approximately five commercial buildings in Central London. This is a working supervisor role, meaning the successful candidate will be expected to carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance duties while also managing and delegating tasks to a team of engineers. The role focuses exclusively on commercial buildings and landlord areas.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Undertake PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations.
• Assign, monitor, and oversee maintenance tasks within the team, ensuring optimal performance.
• Liaise with building managers and clients to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of maintenance works.
• Carry out fault finding and rectification of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ensure all maintenance records and compliance documentation are up to date.
• Identify and escalate any major maintenance or operational issues.
• Assist in coordinating external contractors when necessary.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workplace.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Engineer role.
• Qualified in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of building services, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to manage and delegate tasks within a team effectively.
• Experience working in commercial buildings and landlord areas is essential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Health & Safety awareness and compliance knowledge.
