Position: NDIS Coordinator
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Maternity leave cover
Location: Port Macquarie or Newcastle NSW
 
We are seeking an NDIS Coordinator who is motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional services and support to people with a disability, their families and carers.
 
The successful applicant will have a comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS, having demonstrated experience in this area along with plan and service experience.

Essential Qualifications and Experience   

• Knowledge of the disability sector, the NDIS, relevant legislation, regulations, and standards 
• Case Management experience and/or support planning within community services or health environment
• The ability to engage stakeholders in developing and maintaining strong working relationships and gaining their participation around key decisions and initiatives 
• Ability to work under pressure with exceptional time-management skills in an ever-changing environment 
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills 
• Superior customer service and communication skills, ideally with demonstrated experience in a similar facilitation/NDIS support coordination role 
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate, professionally appropriate, and current records and written reports 
• Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in the use of MS Office suite, working knowledge of databases and demonstrated administration skills 
• Decision making skills: the ability to analyse information and evaluate results to make the best decision in solving problems 
• Planning skills: The ability to develop specific plans and goals to help in accomplishing tasks efficiently 
• The ability to effectively and courteously handle complaints and resolve disputes and conflicts 
• Qualification in Health, Social Sciences or other relevant field would be highly desirable
