Medium Voltage Technician or Foreman

Full Time, Direct Hire Position
$62-$80/hr Plus OT
Medium Voltage Field Technician (Home-Based, Travel) We are hiring an experienced Medium Voltage Field Technician to support field installation of medium voltage power systems across active construction environments. This is a home-based role with regional/national travel and includes a company-provided vehicle.
What You’ll Do
- Install, handle, rig, and terminate medium voltage cable systems (4,160V–38kV) in underground infrastructure, switchgear, and transformer installations.
- Plan and execute large-scale MV cable pulls, utilizing hydraulic and electric pulling equipment and industry-standard rigging methods.
- Operate and work alongside construction equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, pulleys, anchor systems, and cable-pulling assemblies.
- Perform work in construction jobsite environments, including confined spaces and outdoor locations exposed to weather conditions.
- Work with medium voltage electrical equipment including switches, breakers, grounding components, and protective systems.
- Read and interpret medium voltage one-line diagrams and schematics, including systems with multiple power sources.
- Follow all required electrical safety and energy isolation procedures, including PPE, switching protocols, and LOTO requirements.
What We’re Looking For - Hands-on medium voltage power system installation experience required
(4,160V through 38kV) - Background in the construction industry working on electrical or power infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of medium voltage distribution systems and field installation practices.
- Experience working in or around substations, utility infrastructure, or high-energy electrical environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed from a home base.
