National Sales Manager – Transformer and Substation Services
Location: Nationwide, Remote
Are you a driven professional with a passion for technical sales in the electrical power industry? We’re looking for a dynamic National Sales Manager to join our team and lead sales efforts in transformer and substation services. This role is remote, offering nationwide opportunities to build relationships, grow the customer base, and drive business growth in the utility, industrial, and electrical sectors.
About the Role The National Sales Manager will take charge of developing and implementing strategies to expand the customer base, drive revenue, and meet ambitious sales goals. With a focus on transformer and substation services, the role involves building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams while delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales goals through cultivating relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, utilities, and end-users.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to expand the customer base.
- Provide technical consultation on transformer and substation services, including installation, service, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer transactions.
- Manage schedules, service expectations, and job details with field service teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Perform site visits and job walk-throughs to develop accurate quotes and ensure profitable outcomes.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to build relationships and represent the company.
- Participate in sales and budget planning for designated regions.
Qualifications - Education and Experience:
- BS in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably within the utility and industrial markets.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in transformer services and electrical power equipment.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.
- Background in high-voltage equipment (up to 765 kV).
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proven track record in sales, customer relations, and creating/closing opportunities.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems (preferred).
- Creativity, business growth focus, and adaptability to manage complex projects.
