Logistics Lead

Job Description:
- Coordination of Shipments: Managing the scheduling and routing of incoming/outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
- Negotiating with Carriers: Working with shipping companies, freight carriers, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates, terms, and service conditions.
- Tracking and Monitoring: Using tracking systems to monitor shipments, providing updates to customers or internal teams about the status of deliveries.
- Cost Management: Managing freight budgets, optimizing shipping routes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Regulation/Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring that shipments comply with relevant regulations, including customs documentation for international shipments, hazardous materials guidelines, and other legal requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues or delays in the shipping process, including handling damaged goods, missing shipments, or carrier disputes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as sales, purchasing, inventory, and customer success, to ensure smooth operations and meet customer expectations.
- Freight Reports: Working closely with SEKO and vendors weekly
- Works with Customer Success to schedule shipments
- Works with Shops for internal transfers.
- Maintains Carrier rapport and relationships
- Send information for freight PO’s to Purchasing
- Point of contact for Finance to confirm/verify costs
- BOL record management (requesting/forwarding, maintaining, etc.)
