Job Title: Technical Field Advisor
Location: Home Based, with Travel
General Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Technical Field Advisor (TFA) to lead project teams and oversee field service operations. This role focuses on managing turbine disassembly/reassembly projects while ensuring cost-effective and timely completion, client satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Outage:
- Lead project planning and pre-outage readiness reviews.
- Develop project schedules, task lists, and shift plans.
- Coordinate setup activities, including tooling, subcontractors, and crew logistics.
- Foster relationships with clients to finalize project scopes and expectations.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction during planning and execution.
During Outage: - Oversee field operations, including safety, work schedules, and team performance.
- Conduct pre-outage inspections and technical surveys.
- Manage daily reporting, progress updates, and technical guidance.
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with clients, supervisors, and coordinators to resolve issues.
Post-Outage: - Ensure proper project closure, expense reporting, and site demobilization.
- Lead post-outage reviews, document critiques, and generate final reports.
- Build long-term client relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
Qualifications: - Experience managing steam and gas turbine projects.
- Strong project leadership and field service expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Skills: - Technical understanding of turbine systems.
- Cost analysis and project reporting capabilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with conflict resolution ability.
