Job Opportunity: HVAC Lab Technician
Location: Columbus, OH
Full Time, Direct Hire Position
Salary, Nonexempt - Guaranteed 40 hours a week plus OT opportunities
Second Shift Position: Hours 2:30 - 11:30 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Lab Technician to join the Thermal Infrastructure team. This role involves hands-on testing and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge thermal management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate test facilities and instrumentation for product evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop testing processes and improve product designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in prototypes and test systems.
- Analyze test data, prepare reports, and recommend design modifications as needed.
- Perform tasks related to brazing, piping, and wiring, including 3-phase 208/230/460V systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate in improvement programs like 5S.
Qualifications: - Associate’s degree with 1+ year of HVAC experience, or 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
- Proficiency in instrumentation, mechanical drawing interpretation, and HVAC-related testing.
- Skills in wiring (low voltage and 3-phase systems) and prototype builds.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and teamwork capabilities.
