Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Senior ServiceNow Developers to support the configuration, development and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across non-ITSM modules such as PSDS, HRSD, CSM, IRM and SPM.
This is a hands-on development role working under the direction of the Tech Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and configuring ServiceNow functionality in line with agreed requirements, technical specifications and delivery standards.
The role is suited to someone who can work independently on assigned development tasks, produce high-quality build outcomes, and raise technical issues or risks early.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and develop ServiceNow functionality based on agreed requirements, user stories, technical designs and specifications.
- Build and maintain ServiceNow components including forms, tables, flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, notifications, reports, portals and workspaces.
- Develop and support integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP and other API-based approaches.
- Work under the direction of the Tech Lead to deliver assigned development tasks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, project managers and other developers to clarify requirements and implementation details.
- Follow agreed ServiceNow development standards, coding practices, platform governance and release processes.
- Support unit testing, system testing, UAT, defect resolution and deployment activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes and deployment artefacts.
- Identify technical issues, design gaps or delivery risks and escalate them early.

Essential Criteria - Minimum 5 years' hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including configuration, scripting and platform customisation.
- Experience developing across one or more non-ITSM modules such as PSDS, HRSD, CSM, IRM/GRC or SPM.
- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting experience, including Glide API.
- Experience building ServiceNow components such as flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, forms, tables, notifications, reports, portals and workspaces.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP or middleware platforms.
- Ability to work independently from user stories, technical specifications and assigned development tasks under the direction of a Tech Lead.
- Good problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Australian citizenship.
- Baseline Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
Desirable Criteria - ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD or relevant module certifications.
- Experience delivering ServiceNow solutions for Australian Government clients.
- Experience with ServiceNow development standards, platform governance and release management.
- Experience supporting testing, defect resolution and production deployments.
- Familiarity with automated testing, DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines.
